Los Angeles Wedding Portraits

It was an honor to photograph this couple, their family, and friends on their sealing day at the LDS Los Angeles Temple. An LDS wedding runs a bit differently than other faith and non-faith-based weddings. The ceremony happens inside the temple, no photography allowed. (The ceremony does not include the phrase “till death do you part”, as followers of the faith believe that a temple sealing is binding for eternity and that their relationship carries on into eternity, pending a lasting earthly commitment to one another.)

After the sealing the couple has a grand exit where there is usually a large group of family and friends gathered outside the temple. The photographer takes a large group shot of everyone cheering and then moves straight into formal family portraits, bridal party, and lastly couples shots. There is then travel time to the reception and all the standard reception activities ensue; dinner, cake cutting, dancing, garter and bouquet toss…. It's was an honor to take Sammy and Karina’s family and couples portraits. They caused me to ponder young love. Isn’t it a beautiful thing? I admire the courage, optimism, and open mindedness of youth.

As couples portraiture is my specialty and passion, please enjoy the following which are my personal favorites images from the day! xoxo
