Backyard Wedding and South Coast Botanic Garden
Full attention was given to detail for this beautiful, intimate wedding held at a private residence followed by bridal portraits at the gorgeous South Coast Botanic Garden. Tracy and Michael met during their employment at a gardening super store which made the backyard of their home and the SCB Garden perfect locations to pay homage to their romantic beginnings and marital union. They worked tirelessly to bring their special day together and I am beyond grateful that I was asked to be a part of it! xoxo
Los Angeles Lds Wedding and S.B. Navy Golf Course
Lauren and Ken were married at the Los Angeles LDS temple on a beautiful, crisp Veterans’ Day morning. With the remembrance of so many men and women who have fought for our freedom and continue to do so, two families came together to witness this beautiful young couple make promises to love and cherish each other for the rest of eternity. Afterwards we ventured out to the Seal Beach Navy Golf Course for a ring ceremony and reception. Such great live music, such good food, and so much love! Nothing compares to the joy of a wedding day! Congratulations Lauren and Ken! Thanks so much for choosing me to document your special day! xoxo

Los Angeles Wedding and Quiet Canyon Reception
This beautiful L.A. June Wedding was brimming with tender moments; misty eyes, warm embraces, and heartfelt sentiments. Two favorite moments came when the speeches were given at the reception. The groom, a non-Spanish speaker, prepared a message in Spanish, the bride’s native language. I caught a few words, but the bride’s expression spoke volumes! So much LOVE! The brother of the bride also spoke and shared that the only tears the groom has caused are tears of joy! I am so happy for this sweet couple and so grateful I got to be a part of their special day! xoxo
Many thanks to the amazing team who helped bring this wedding to life…

Newport Beach Wedding and Five Crowns Reception
This Newport Beach wedding was lovely from start to finish! Emily and Rob, along with their family and friends, filled the day with warmth and love. Their ring ceremony and reception were held at The Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar, and let me just say, the prime rib lives up to every expectation! I loved all the details that went into making this day special!
Los Angeles Wedding Matt & Mayra
Matt and Mayra were given this advice on their wedding day: Become best friends. Become one (in heart and mind). Keep God and prayer in your marriage. I can think of no better recipie for a happy marriage. Thank you Matt and Mayra for hiring me to be your wedding photographer! It was a joy working with you both and I wish you all the love and success in this new journey together. xoxo!
Los Rios Historic District Wedding Portraits
A beautiful couple and a stunning location produced the results of this quick session that was sandwiched between the ceremony and temple portraits in L.A. and the drive southward to Meridith and Troy’s reception in San Clemente. The first time I visited the Los Rios Historic District, I knew it was a prime location to photograph. I’m so grateful I got to return with these two and create these images with them. Meridith is wearing one of her three wedding day dresses. I will be posting more on Instagram and Facebook! 🙂
Los Angeles Wedding and Reception at The Aquarium of the Pacific
If you are planning a wedding and are looking for a fabulous space, hands down, let it be The Aquarium of the Pacific! I am still dreaming about Adam and Angelique’s choice of reception venue! The wedding took place at the Los Angeles LDS Temple, followed by a drive southward the the Aquarium in Long Beach. Their guests got to explore the Aquarium for an hour before reception festivities began. They were even treated to an educational talk about the resident sea otters! Those furry little guys put smiles on everybody’s faces! These two truly made their special day one to remember on so many levels! Not only did they throw an awesome party, but most importantly, they made sacred promises to each other that have the power to bind them for eternity. Here is a glimpse. Enjoy. 🙂 xoxo
Newport Beach Lds Wedding
My heart is full as I reflect upon Emmi and Matt’s wedding day. So many heart-felt details were incorporated into this celebration of love. The honoring of the eternal nature of love, the revisiting of the couple’s first date locale, a brush with the beach (where Matt proposed)… it was like taking a trip in a time machine– spanning the entirely of their relationship up to that present day. Speaking of which, (not to spoil the romantic musings), they happened to be married on National Donut Day! Hence a few of the following images. And the icing on the cake… (no pun intended). Emmi is a native of Peru. Her family was not able to make the trip to California for the wedding. As a special surprise, Matt arranged a Skype session with Emmi’s family during their reception! Her reaction was priceless! These two have so much love for one another! I am so thankful I was invited to be a part of it! I wish you both a world of happiness! Thank you for your patronage!!! xoxo!
Los Angeles LDS Temple Wedding
I’m so excited to be able to feature Lindsay and Mike’s wedding day! Their ceremony took place at the LDS temple in L.A., followed by a yummy dessert bar and tons of dancing in Mike’s hometown of Lancaster. I was especially fond of all the beautiful details they incorporated into their day! Lindsay’s tiara and the guys’ cuff links were top of my list! Thank you for your patronage! I had a blast photographing all the fun! May love fill your days and nights always!
Los Angeles Temple Wedding Kim and Josh
september 30, 2014
A lot has happened over the past month. Big changes. One of the positives was getting into grad school at the tail end of August. I applied to the MSW program at CSULB back in February. Needless to say, life has gotten 10x’s busier. It’s an adjustment to say the least– more on this later. For now, here is a lil sneak peek of Kim and Josh’s wedding. 🙂
Los Angeles LDS Wedding and Wilson Golf Course Reception
The first word that comes to mind when I think of Bianca and Jared’s wedding is COLOR! Talk about a sensational summer synthesis of fuschia, gold, orange, and royal blue! Bianca and Jared, you two are adorable together! It truly was a pleasure to work with you and your families! There are so many memorable moments and details… At the ring ceremony, one of the couple’s friends serenaded them with John Legend’s ‘All of Me’. It was beautiful! Bianca’s mom is an event planner– her reception decor was incredible! The guest Flamenco dancers and the food were amazing too! I loved the entire day from start to finish! Thank you so much for hiring me to be a part of it!
Salt Lake City LdsWedding
S to the T to the L*U*V*! I know what you’re thinking right now… Wow! That is one heck of a bridal party!! The back story: September 2010, Sunny hired me to photograph her dance group, the incredibly talented: MAHANA Polynesian Dance Company! We met at Laguna Beach at high tide– it is a day we will always remember! She told me then, it didn’t matter where we were in the world, the day she got married, I was going to be her photographer. Fast forward to the end of 2012/2013, she met her man. They set a wedding date for the end of November in Salt Lake City and it just so happened we were in the same place at the same time! It worked out perfectly. Sunny and Tino, you make a fantastic couple! Mahalo! My love to you both:)
Los Angeles Wedding with Stephanie and Daniel
Stephanie and Daniel, wherever you are right now, know that I’m giving you both a big hug! It was a joy to work with you and be a part of your special day! Your ceremony was full of beautiful symbolism, anticipation and love, and your reception was a blast! Thank you for a memorable day. Here are some of my favorite images, the unity candle being my favorite shot of the day! Please enjoy! XOXO 🙂
Newport Beach LDS Wedding with Kristen and Daniel
Another beautiful day at the Newport Beach Temple for Kristen and Daniel’s sealing. During their engagement session, Kristen said something profound about marriage, “It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, only where you are going together.” Kristen and Daniel, you are so brave for taking that sentiment to heart. I desire your courage. I am so grateful to have been a part of your wedding day. Kristen, thank you for the years of friendship. All the best to you and your hubby~
Los Angeles Wedding Portraits
I was introduced to my beautiful friend Michele on the grounds of the Los Angeles LDS Temple where we were both volunteers. Little did I know, a couple years later she would be asking me to photograph her wedding day. Michele is one of the most optimistic women I have ever met. She’s spunky, fun, and her energy never seems to stop! She is a wonderful example of what it means to be comfortable and happy in your own skin independent of external circumstances and influence. When we first met, she was on a mission to enjoy life and meet new friends. Finding her future husband was somewhere in the mix too….
Newport Beach LDS Temple Sealing
june 30, 2012
There are many wonderful things I could say about Ashley Bell. I met her while she was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She gave 110% to her mission and it was a privilege getting to know her in that capacity. She and Ethan recently returned to California, (where they both served and met), to be married in the Newport Beach LDS temple. It was a beautiful day. Here are some favorite pix from our mini session just before their sealing (wedding). Enjoy!
Newport Beach Wedding
february 29, 2012 Posted in Weddings
Hello all! Happy LEAP DAY!!! I can’t tell you how excited I feel about February 29th; the only day that is a collection of all the seconds of all the days of the previous 4 years. It is a little piece of everyday… Love should be expressed, honored, remembered and shared daily. I am so thankful to be surrounded by love and to photograph it. I look forward to loving and cherishing someone with February 29th spirit~
The following are images I shot last year. Catina and Jeff were married in the Newport Beach LDS Temple in November of 2010 and had a ring ceremony and reception the following summer. Here are some favorites that have finally found a home on Planet Blog. Enjoy! :)
Los Angeles LDS Temple Wedding Portraits
I was asked to take portraits of Ryan and Ariel on their wedding day at the Los Angeles Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Photography is permitted on the grounds, but not inside of the temple as the building is seen as sacred. Couples who are sealed there have a grand exit and usually take family photos and couples photos on the grounds. Congratulations to the love birds! So thankful I was able to be a part of their special day!
The Value Your Photographer Gives You
A birthday shoot-out!
Have you ever wondered how your photographer set the pricing for your portrait session?
Why your photography costs what it does?
Your session fee helps to cover the following:
The annual business taxes paid to run a business.
The hundreds of dollars paid annually to have a functional website.
The thousands of dollars of equipment used at your session.
The time and forethought put into prepping for your shoot, starting with the email or phone communications.
Location scouting and driving to your session; both of those things cost time and money for gas.
The compensation for the assistant.
The hours spent culling your images, applying general edits, uploading your images to a gallery so you have a convenient way to view them and make your selections; using a service that charges a monthly fee.
The editing tools: Lightroom and Photoshop also charge a monthly fee.
This alone, without any images included, is worth the session fee— but wait! Images are included! And they are meticulously edited, (which can take hours). Even if general adjustments were the only changes made, which they are not, wouldn’t a digital piece of art, that you can print and share unlimited times with friends and family and with the world online, that can last for generations— be worth $25 an image? That’s how much I charge per edited image à la carte beyond the images included in your session.
In my base portrait package you receive 12 edits which is a $300 value! My base package is $450. That means you’re only paying my assistant and I $150 for the multiple hours we spent prepping and making your session happen. WOW!! What a steal of a deal!!! And we give you all this because we love to create and add value to your lives! With that, lets make magic together!!
